LED - Lighting of the Future

Todays LED Lamps supply quality light at a fraction of the wattage of an incandescent lamp. For example a dimmable 13 watt LED household lamp provides lighting equivalent to a 75 watt soft white lamp while saving 82% in power. Additionally these lamps come in a variety of color rendering types. The average life span of an LED "A" lamp is 25,000 hours.

Exterior lighting also benefits from LED lighting. At the Eldorado Community Center (photos at right), we wanted to supply better illumination at a lower operating cost. 150 watt LED lamps were retrofitted to replace 250 watt high pressure sodium. The result was more usable light, with better color rendition and a 40%  savings in energy costs. As you can see the improvement in night visibility is quite dramatic.
